One Day Program on‘Career Guidance, Career Counselling and Career Mela’
A one day programme on ‘Career Guidance, Career Counselling and Career Mela’ was organized on 15 February 2022 by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Gurugram under the aegis of ‘AtmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The programme aimed at motivating students to get track on their studies and to find out new career opportunities. Mr. Krishan Lal Parcha, Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Gurugram oriented the students about the aim and mission of Nehru Yuva Kendra and purpose of career guidance program. The event was coordinated by College Youth Red Cross and Placement Cell committee. Students from B.Ed I & II year participated in the programme. The programme envisaged to make the students aware about various career opportunities and trends in the education sector to enhance the employability skills of students. Guidance were given to students to help them aquire the knowledge information, skills and experience necessary to identify career options and make career decisions. Different resource persons highlighted the key issues related to youth like career guidance and counselling, health and wellness, Positive energy and youth, role of communication skills, preventive measures for serious diseases like HIV/AIDS, TB etc. Our respected Principal, Dr. Vandana Gandhi presided over the event with her motivating words. The programme ended with vote of thanks given by Ms. MamtaDhawan from Nehru Yuva Kendra.
